On that night, the meteor broke the balance of the horizontal line and tore the sky into a trillion pieces of mayhem.

we took a break on the melting cliff, your eyes were dyed in red under the fiery sky as you were choked on the tumult in your head. I noticed how you hesitated to hold my hand.

"Thank you for loving me" - I hear your voice murmuring though your lips barely moved. I could feel your heart trembling, for some reason, and I thought it'd be nice if you also knew how mine is yearning for yours.

"Why did you do this to me?" - I asked. Though I knew you didn't have the answer for it.
I tried my best to celebrate this brief moment whilst I could still feel the unison of our heartbeats, as if they were everlasting, before we were ripped off and our distance, again, became light years apart.

The cosmic dust mourned for how it could have become the brightest star.
